CrossFit is a high-intensity fitness program that incorporates elements of weightlifting, cardio, gymnastics, and various other exercises to promote overall physical fitness.
CrossFit workouts, often referred to as WODs (Workouts of the Day), are constantly varied and typically include a mix of functional movements performed at high intensity. These movements can range from weightlifting and bodyweight exercises to running and rowing. While some of these movements are very technical, CrossFit workouts are designed to be scalable, making them suitable for individuals of various fitness levels.
One distinguishing feature of CrossFit is its emphasis on community and camaraderie. Participants often train in group settings, fostering a supportive and competitive atmosphere.
All of our CrossFit Classes are high energy and focused on challenging yourself and maintaining good form. They are coach-led and follow a planned progression roughly 60 minutes long and follow this basic structure:
- Thorough warm-ups
- Movement instruction and demonstration of the WOD
- Continued supervision of your performance during the WOD
- Stretch and group debrief
