𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗜 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗟𝗬 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗺𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆. 😀
I've had multiple conversations this week with members struggling with time management - particularly when it comes to making time for things that benefit health, their families and that bring them joy. It seems many of us are challenged with separating work from play, or work from relaxation.
I feel you. I know what it means to be a workaholic and miss out on life's more pleasurable moments due to being "too busy".
When I opened Rhino, I ran my body and mind into the ground trying to build it. I haven't been on a family vacation in 20 years because we owned a business before this one, too. When I was at work, home, driving, lying in bed, taking a bath... I still worked. Always. I had NO IDEA how to shut it off.
And that took its toll... on my body, my health, my relationships and my stress levels. Sound familiar to anyone?
Here's the thing: Yes, we all need to work and pay bills, etc. But we also ALL deserve to spend time working on ourselves, our health, being happy, fulfilled humans and simply appreciating joyful experiences in this world.
It wasn't until about 18 months ago, I started pouring my time and energy into balancing my life.
𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗱𝗶𝗱:
1. Figured out what I wanted my life to look like.
2. Created daily habits that would lead me there.
3. Set boundaries & learned to stick to them, relentlessly.
4. Learned to say "no" to things that don't serve me.
