I'm totally raising my hand right now!
Usually when I have failed, it is because I have set too high of an expectation or set an intention for something I didn't really want badly enough. In the past I have been notorious for making a HUGE workout goal, almost unachievable-type of goal, and then when I missed even one part of it, I would punish myself and feel like a failure because ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ป'๐ ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐.
So, should I stop working out altogether? Should I just quit?
Naah. Just because a plan fails doesn't mean that there isn't a different way to go about it to find success! This is when we have to assess WHY it didn't work, and recommit with that new information.
Our health is a LIFELONG habit, not a short-term goal. We can't "FAIL" at it. We can get stuck in ruts, lose motivation, maybe even not commit ourselves to the process, but we cannot FAIL because it isn't a goal, it is a livelihood.
There is no FINAL result - so when you feel like your plan isn't working for you - re-assess what you want and try something different.
